The Third Ward Mile

About this event

The Third Ward Mile is the Third Ward’s first USA Track & Field-certified 1-mile road race, bringing together elite athletes alongside families of all ages from the community for a day of community, wellness, and civic action in support of birthFUND’s mission to end the maternal mortality crisis.

The race is open to everyone ages 6 and up, with youth heats, open divisions, an elite race, and a community walk. One hundred percent of race donations will support birthFUND’s work to expand access to community-centered midwifery care. birthFUND will also lead the wellness experience and family activities in the Finishers Village, with support from The Honest Company as birthFUND’s presenting sponsor, Walmart, Tommee Tippee, and First Response as supporting sponsors, and other partners.
