About this event

Join Buffalo Bayou Partnership for Missing Waters , a community chalk art project connecting Japhet Creek Park to Finnigan Park.

Led by artist Stacy Levy , Missing Waters uses temporary blue chalk markings to trace the paths of historic waterways buried, diverted, or hidden by development. Together, we’ll help bring attention to the waterways that once flowed through our neighborhoods and introduce more people to Japhet Creek Park.

No art experience is needed—just come ready to get involved and have fun! After we finish chalking the route, we’ll celebrate with a musical procession from Finnigan Park back to Japhet Creek Park, followed by ice cream.

We hope you’ll join us for this special opportunity to come together, make art, and celebrate Fifth Ward’s history and waterways.
