About this event

Our Fall Jazz Festival concludes with an unforgettable evening in the Denney Theatre featuring Jazz Ensembles 1 and 2. The highlight of the evening will be Benny Carter's Kansas City Suite , originally composed for the legendary Count Basie Orchestra in 1960. This ten-movement masterpiece celebrates the rich musical heritage of Kansas City and the unmistakable swing of the Basie band. Join us as our students bring this iconic work to life.
