Help protect Galveston Bay. Join Bayou City Waterkeeper at a public meeting on the wastewater discharge permit for EPCOR’s proposed Bayshore Desalination Facility near Bacliff and San Leon.

BCWK opposes the permit because of concerns about concentrated salty wastewater entering the bay, potential harm to water quality and aquatic habitats, and the loss of fish eggs, larvae, and other organisms through the facility’s intake system.

This is your opportunity to ask questions and formally tell TCEQ why Galveston Bay deserves protection.

The meeting includes an informal question-and-answer portion and a formal public comment portion. To enter your concerns into the official record, speak during the formal comment portion or submit written comments. Questions asked during the informal discussion do not count as formal comments.

Prepare a brief comment:

• Introduce yourself and explain your connection to Galveston Bay.

• State your opposition to Permit WQ0005502000 .

• Share one or two specific concerns and how they could affect you.

• Ask TCEQ to deny the permit.
