Inside ISHIDA

About this event

What happens before the curtain rises?

What sparks a movement, shapes a story, and transforms an idea into a captivating dance?

Step Inside ISHIDA Dance Company for an intimate evening that invites you beyond the performance and into the world where ISHIDA’s work begins.

Meet ISHIDA and select dancers she is working with. Hear the stories, ideas, and experiences that shape the company’s artistic vision and its growing international presence—right here in Houston. Witness the creative process unfold as dancers enter rehearsal, explore movement, and bring the work to life before your eyes. Then, experience a performance of several duets that are beloved audience favorites.

This is more than a rehearsal. It is a rare opportunity to experience the humanity behind the artistry—the vulnerability, imagination, and physicality that make ISHIDA’s work so distinctive.

Come curious. Come closer.
