Good morning, League City.

League City's popular Camp by the Creek is hosting a parent info session on March 25 (6 to 7 p.m.) at the Community Center (400 S.

Kansas Avenue) to explain new changes for the summer camp, and registration will open on April 16.

The Resource & Crisis Center is hosting a fundraiser on March 26 featuring keynote speaker Tonya Stafford— a Dallas native with over 10 years of experience working with women, young girls and children— who will share her expertise during the event.

League City's second annual Nonprofit Expo will take place on Saturday, March 29 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Johnnie Arolfo Civic Center (400 West Walker Street) and will host nearly 70 nonprofits (offering volunteer opportunities and interactive activities like yard games, a LCPD K9 demonstration, a SWAT display, a Public Safety helicopter, and live music).

Home improvement projects such as adding a patio cover, installing a sprinkler system or replacing an AC unit require a permit from the League City Building Department to avoid violations and fines—proof of a permit is needed for insurance and resale.

Even small tasks like extending a driveway also need a permit, so residents and contractors should review the guidelines—ensuring their projects comply with city rules.
