Good morning, League City.
🚨 Crime
William Lil Dell Rudd, a La Marque man accused of shooting at a constable, remains in Galveston County jail on a $701,500 bond (up from a $101,500 bond set Tuesday).
🏛️ Government
Galveston County clarified that the change in payday was planned—county employees received their checks on Wednesday this week instead of their regular Tuesday schedule.
A hearing is scheduled for today on a bill that would let the Galveston-Port Bolivar ferry jump-start stranded vehicles to cut delays caused by weak batteries.
Current rules force ferries to push or pull vehicles off, and lawmakers will assess if the new measure can help reduce these hold-ups.
