- ➤ The City will share its Events & Reminders list on Facebook to help residents track key dates in April—such as an astronomy session at Rustic Oaks Park on April 5, a spring carnival at Hometown Heroes Park on April 6, council meetings on April 8 and 22, a community fair on April 10, a blood drive on April 15, and other activities through April 26. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Gulf Coast Water Authority and the City of League City will conduct annual drinking water maintenance from April 7 to April 21 to improve water quality by temporarily switching from chloramine to free chlorine (this process may cause temporary odor or discoloration and requires special adjustments for dialysis machines and tropical fish aquariums). - ➤ League City's council Position 5 ballot now includes six candidates: Erin Avalos aged 27, Kyrsten Garcia aged 34, Scott Higginbotham aged 48, Charlie Keeler aged 41, Tim Pelletier aged 53 and Lisa Welty aged 53; they remain on the ballot after the withdrawal deadline.
