- ➤ League City officials have extended the submission deadline for an art exhibition open to artists from League City and nearby Galveston County— the event will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on June 14. The Daily News (Galveston County)
- ➤ League City officials and the League City Convention and Visitors Bureau will join KTSU-FM 90.9 to host a free 'Saturday Jazz Night' concert on May 24 from 6:30 to 10 p.m. at League Park — the event will feature saxophonist Stephen Richard, drummer Pat Williams, and the Texas Southern University Jazz Ensemble while local food trucks, Galveston Bay Brewing, and Soulfreak Railroad Café offer food and drinks. ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Over the past three years, the Galveston Bay Foundation donated 1,500 coastal prairie plants—volunteers spread them across three acres at the Dr. Ned and Fay Dudney Clear restoration site in League City—to support native habitat recovery. The restoration project continues to bolster local coastal prairie health. The Daily News (Galveston County)
