🎭 Culture
A new Texas State Historical Marker honoring early Japanese settlers was unveiled at Fairview Cemetery to recognize their role in starting the rice industry and later farming figs and oranges in League City and Webster.
The ceremony, attended by descendants including Paul Saibara, marked 47 graves with dual-language inscriptions—preserving a lasting bicultural legacy.
