League City has been named a Tourism Friendly Texas Certified Community by the Office of the Governor, Economic Development and Tourism division—recognizing its strong efforts in tourism planning and visitor engagement—and joins a select group of Texas communities dedicated to welcoming visitors.
The Fall "Beyond the Oaks" Parks and Recreation guide is available and includes details on programs, events and sports with registration offered online or in person at Hometown Heroes Park or the Community Center.
League City residents must show a valid ID and current water bill, while non-residents need a valid ID + call 281-554-1180 for help + accounts can be created in person or online during business hours.
A community blood drive is scheduled for Thursday, July 17 at the Civic Center from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.—donors will receive a $25 eGift Card and a free A1c test as the event aims to help collect donations that could save lives.
