Good morning, League City.

A League City homeowner called when her three-week-old puppy fell into a sanitary sewer pipe in her backyard.

Public Works crews used a special camera to locate the pup deep in the sewer main and guided it toward a manhole—using the light to help—so it could be safely rescued and returned to its owner.

League City added four new mini murals on traffic signal boxes at intersections on Walker Street, and a fifth mural will appear at League City Parkway and Lawrence Road—local artists were chosen by the Keep League City Beautiful Committee.

UTMB Health was ranked number one in the first-ever Pediatric Hospital Services award — the only system to earn the honor — showing strong care for children.

League City is preparing for the 2026 World Cup as the United States, with Canada and Mexico, will host a 48-team tournament starting in June—an increase from the 32 teams in previous tournaments.
