Doc's Presents: Laila Biali

About this event

Award-winning Canadian singer-songwriter, pianist, and national radio host Laila Biali has headlined major venues and festivals across five continents, from Carnegie Hall in New York to Beijing’s National Centre for the Performing Arts, and has shared the stage with international icon Sting. Her self-titled 2019 album earned a JUNO Award for “Vocal Jazz Album of the Year,” and she has also received the Hagood Hardy Award for Excellence in Songwriting along with top honors at the Canadian Songwriting Competition and Canada’s National Jazz Awards, where she was named both “Composer of the Year” and “Keyboardist of the Year.”

Recognized by DownBeat Magazine among the year’s best recordings, Biali’s music is celebrated for its signature sound that seamlessly blends jazz sophistication with pop sensibility, combining virtuosic musicianship, emotional depth, and memorable songwriting. In addition to her international performing career, she hosts CBC Music’s national program "Saturday Night Jazz," bringing her artistry to listeners across Canada.

Our kitchen and bar will be open, serving up chef-crafted dishes and handcrafted cocktails to make your night complete. Come hungry, the food’s as good as the music!
